Patrick Bateman

Vicar

Patrick worked as a futures trader in the City of London before being ordained. This then took him to serving churches in Wallington and Chipstead in Surrey; Ilkley in Yorkshire and then back south to Claygate. Locally, Patrick might be seen with Diggy the dog or on his bike. Or in one of the local watering holes. Do introduce yourself to Patrick, he is always happy to meet someone new.

Katherine Miller

Associate Vicar

Katherine has a background in teaching and chaplaincy. She studied Theology at Durham University and trained for ordination at St Mellitus College. She was ordained in 2019 and completed her curacy in Fulham. Katherine is married to Andrew and they have three young children. She enjoys being outdoors, running, spending time with family and any excuse to be creative!

Stuart Sadler

Associate Minister

Stuart combines his church role with being Vice President of a Surrey technology company. He’s passionate about ‘faith in the workplace’, believing there should be no divide between the sacred and the secular. Somehow he also manages to squeeze in travel and cycling.

Associate Minister

Katherine’s working life began teaching chemistry in a boys’ boarding school. More recently she was the assistant administrator at Holy Trinity. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, reading and quilting.

Mark Chapman

Operations Manager

Mark was previously Group CIO of an aerospace insurance company. He enjoys coffee and exercising his black Labrador on Esher Commons – though not at the same time. Mark is also trying his hand at astrophotography and learning to play the electronic organ. Both a work in progress.

Louise Crudgington

Administration Manager

Louise previously worked alongside husband Simon as Finance & HR Manager for their retail maintenance business. She loves being mum to Joel & Freya and spending time with friends & family. An ideal day would be skiing in the sun followed by après ski!

Vicar’s Assistant

Ruth worked in publishing before spending time raising her two boys. She has been worshipping at Holy Trinity for many years and is passionate about creation care. At weekends, you will find her walking in the New Forest with her dog and family.

Assistant Administrator (currently on maternity leave)

Jen’s previous life includes 10 years in corporate fleet management before joining Claygate Primary School as an admin assistant and home school link worker. Married to Alex and mummy to Aiden, she loves a good box set and spending time with family and friends.

Alexia was previously a solicitor but stopped practising to spend time raising her young children. She enjoys seeing friends and family, the outdoors and trying to keep up with her book group’s latest read.

Simon Botham

Facilities Manager

Simon re-trained as a Primary School Teacher 14 years ago and before that worked in the creative industry as a business development consultant. His hobbies include playing the drums, general fitness and family, as well as rugby. You might see Simon out and about in Bertie the VW camper or on his bike.

Pippa was previously an occupational therapist in the NHS. Her spare time involves friends, family, walking – and caring for a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats and guinea pigs. Her dream is to have pet goats in her back garden!

Helen worked in advertising before becoming a languages teacher and then raising a family. She lists her hobbies as running/staggering to clear the cobwebs away, seeing friends, the theatre and reading ‘if I get time’.

Children and Families Assistant

​Tersia is originally from South Africa and worked in the beauty industry for 14 years before becoming a mum to two lively boys. She and her family have been part of Holy Trinity for a few years now. Before officially joining the staff team, she started off helping in the children’s groups on Sunday.

​Chris is originally from Zambia. Prior to retirement he enjoyed a career in accountancy, banking and telecommunications. He and his wife Claire have four boys and got married in Holy Trinity Claygate 30 years ago.

Worship Pastor

Louise is originally from Durban, South Africa. She has been a worship pastor for nearly 10 years and has travelled the world leading worship and recording music. She loves spending time catching up with friends, being in a recording studio and doing jigsaw puzzles!
