Patrick Bateman

Vicar

Patrick worked as a futures trader in the City of London before being ordained. This then took him to serving churches in Wallington and Chipstead in Surrey; Ilkley in Yorkshire and then back south to Claygate. Locally, Patrick might be seen with Diggy the dog or on his bike. Or in one of the local watering holes. Do introduce yourself to Patrick, he is always happy to meet someone new.

Richard Rugg

Associate Vicar

Richard spent three years in IT as a network administrator before becoming a Children and Youth Minister and, following theological training, being ordained. His spare time involves keeping fit, watching football, family days out and playing on his Sony PlayStation.

Stuart Sadler

Associate Minister

Stuart combines his church role with being Vice President of a Surrey technology company. He’s passionate about ‘faith in the workplace’, believing there should be no divide between the sacred and the secular. Somehow he also manages to squeeze in travel and cycling.

Sarah was ordained in 2019 after 30 years as a local solicitor – she may have helped you move house! She has also been a Pastoral Assistant and worked in hospital chaplaincy. Married to Andy and with 3 adult children, Sarah is never without a good book on the go and likes to potter in the garden.

Katherine’s working life began teaching chemistry in a boys’ boarding school. More recently she was the assistant administrator at Holy Trinity. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, reading and quilting.

A trained actress, Holly has worked in musical theatre performing in pantos and with touring companies. More recently she was a youth pastor in Kent and worked with a detached youth work Christian charity. To relax, Holly loves card and board games.

Louise Crudgington

Vicar’s Assistant

Alongside her role at Holy Trinity Claygate, Louise is Finance and HR Manager at her family’s Surrey-based retail maintenance business. Fun for her – when she can find the time – involves skiing in the sun. But mostly it’s time with her family and friends.

Martiana Goddard

Administration Manager

Martiana, whose first language is Afrikaans, came to the UK from Cape Town in 2018. Previously a Special Needs teacher, she enjoys the outdoors, exploring new areas, and things of historical significance like British castles. She loves all animals, especially dogs. But is terrified of spiders – grateful they are not as big in the UK as in her homeland.

Mark Chapman

Operations Manager

Mark was previously Group CIO of an aerospace insurance company. He enjoys coffee and exercising his black Labrador on Esher Commons – though not at the same time. Mark is also trying his hand at astrophotography and learning to play the electronic organ. Both a work in progress.

Jen’s previous life includes 10 years in corporate fleet management before joining Claygate Primary School as an admin assistant and home school link worker. Married to Alex and mummy to Aiden, she loves a good box set and spending time with family and friends.

Dave Curtis

Facilities Manager

Dave’s former employment was bespoke metal fabrication and shop fitting. This included water features for Chelsea flower show and work on stately homes and religious buildings around the world. Fun for Dave includes tinkering with motorcycles, metalwork projects and pub quizzes.

Pippa Cramer

Pastoral Care and Seniors Minister

Pippa was previously an occupational therapist in the NHS. Her spare time involves friends, family, walking – and caring for a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats and guinea pigs. Her dream is to have pet goats in her back garden!

Helen worked in advertising before becoming a languages teacher and then raising a family. She lists her hobbies as running/staggering to clear the cobwebs away, seeing friends, the theatre and reading ‘if I get time’.

Julia was an HR Director for many years. Her spare time is spent with her children, usually beside a swimming pool as they train or compete. When having a moment to herself Julia enjoys a cup of tea or glass of wine depending on the time of day, and a good TV box set.

Dom has a degree and masters in Mathematics at Loughborough University. He loves anything maths related and being competitive either through a game of tennis, or video and board games.

Ada trained as a teacher and then went into youth work, worked as a school supervisor and was a school governor. A break to raise her two girls was followed by being a Year 6 teaching assistant. Ada’s spare time includes family and friends and being creative – anything from arts and crafts to gardening and cooking.

After reading English at university, spent a few years volunteering and travelling. Trained as a teacher, she cares deeply about investing in people, particularly children and youth. In her spare time, Olivia loves reading, books, running – mainly from a charity shop to another – and going to live gigs with her twin sister.

Vicky’s almost 30 year career in childcare and development started by volunteering for a charity giving respite care to vulnerable children and adults. Outside of Jigsaw she admits to being a huge superhero fan and a star wars geek. Should she ever grow up her dream is to be a Wookie.

Alison, who has been a member of Holy Trinity for 30 years, spent all her working life as a GP. Since retiring from the NHS in 2020, she has more time to enjoy walking, birdwatching, playing tennis, and playing violin in the Kingston Philharmonic orchestra. As well as spending time with family and friends.

Andrew, who works in communications for insurance company Aviva, emigrated south from Manchester a few decades ago. He’s married to Jenny with two daughters. Outside of family and work, he loves playing tennis and supports Manchester City.

Vicki, with a degree in Financial Business Management, runs her own digital consultancy having worked in the corporate world for 30 years, including leading IBM’s Acquisitions business. The mother of four late teens and grown up children, she’s a trustee of several local charities and enjoys walking, Pilates, cycling and travelling.
