CHILDREN

Our aim is for children to discover and encounter the God who made them and loves them. During the Covid restrictions – as always – we do so in ways appropriate for their age and understanding.

This means offering children opportunities to learn about God, explore faith, have an experience of God and see what it means to be a part of a larger faith community.

More than that, we take great care to make sure all the groups and activities are engaging, enjoyable, stimulating and relevant to young lives.

If you would like find out more about our activities for children 0 to Y6, please contact our Children and Families Minister Ada Rugg.

SUNDAY CHILDRENS GROUPS

Little Stars

Age 0-2 in the Ministry Centre’s Willow Room

During our 9.30am service, parents and their chidren will find a dedicated space to enjoy fellowship and toys, with the service live-streamed into the room.

Sparkle

Age 3-YR in the Ministry Centre’s Oak & Olive Room

This helps children explore faith through a variety of ways. Includes settling in activities during registration, a game or introduction to the theme, songs, a story, circle prayer time and a craft activity.

Glow

Y1-Y4 in the Church Hall

Each energetic and engaging session starts with activities that help children  get to know each other and build friendships. Then worship is followed by a game or introduction to the theme and teaching. Finally year groups have follow up activities and prayer.

Blaze

Y5-Y6 at Emmanuel Hall

Based on a well thought out and  age-appropriate teaching theme, there are games, drama, Bible stories and prayer time. The children are encouraged to engage with faith questions and explore what it means for them  to follow Jesus.
